What are Evanescences?
Three pieces for keyboard(s) and/or other instruments

The 'Three Evanescences' were uploaded before Christmas.  They are scored for keyboard(s) and/or other instruments.  The recording uploaded with the score is of piano.

Evancesence is the derivative noun of evanescent, the dictionary definition of which is: passing out of sight, memory, or existence; quickly fading or disappearing.   Each of the three pieces incorporates a 'fading away' - not necessarily just through a diminuendo, but structurally or melodically as well.

Durations:

Movement 1 - 2:10, movement 2 - 3:50, movement 3 - 4:00

Total duration: 10:00 approx.

If played by multiple instruments, vary the instrumentation as necessary to observe the written dynamics.

Movement 1 - Optional: suspended cymbal played tremolo with soft beaters until bar 28

Movement 3 - Optional: unpitched rhythmic/pulsed percussion ad lib. until bar 48
