'Open Score' London Sinfonietta album
An album of recordings by the London Sinfonietta, conductor Gregory Rose, has been digitally released by NMC.   It features flexibly-scored pieces commissioned by CoMA - Contemporary Music for All - including '4 Minutes - 4 Daydreams' by Paul Burnell

'Accompanied Readings Vol. 1' album released December 2015
The first of two volumes of Accompanied Readings will be released on December 7.  'Accompanied Readings Vol. 1' includes settings of seven texts published at the end of the 19th century, including Oscar Wilde's 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol' and 'The Piano-Organ' by Amy Levy. The narrations are by Paul Burnell, with Karen Burnell narrating an excerpt from 'The Yellow Wallpaper' by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Piano Music album on the way
Have been spending time over the past few months working with the wonderful pianist and sound engineer James Bacon to record an album of piano music by Paul Burnell. Recorder, Viol, Harpsichord trio "In the Margins"
One of my recorder compositions has recently been published by Peacock Press in the UK, via  www.recordermail.co.uk "In the Margins" is written for alto recorder, viol da gamba and harpsichord. It has six movements with a total duration of around 18 minutes. The viol part (Pardessus de viole or Treble Viol) could be played by violin. Busy with keyboard pieces
I've been busy with new keyboard pieces for a forthcoming recording project this year.   So, I've uploaded a few new pieces - 'Pacer' Nos. 1,2 and 3, 'It May Been', 'Three Evancescences', and 'Three Additional Pieces'.  Some of these are flexibly scored to allow for a variety of different keyboard instruments to play the pieces, and some are also suitable for a mix of other instruments.   I've also been creating new piano recordings for existing keyboard pieces using Pianoteq ...

What are Evanescences?
The 'Three Evanescences' were uploaded before Christmas.  They are scored for keyboard(s) and/or other instruments.  The recording uploaded with the score is of piano.
