Paul Burnell was born in 1960, Ystrad, South Wales and now lives and writes in London. Albums include 'Leaving the Party on Pluto', 'Good to Go', 'Sticking with Childish Things', 'Face Each Aged Ache' 'Cabbage Heads', 'Accompanied Readings Vol. 1' and 'Acute Suites'. The album 'It May Have Been' with pianist James Bacon was released in 2016, and 'Accompanied Readings Vol. 2' was released in 2018.
The piece 'Birthday' was selected by Leatherhead Choral Society for their composition competition and was performed by them in July 2018.
In 2019 premieres were given by Hannah Cresswell (flute) & Constance Chow (piano), Jordan Wright Murray (percussion) and the CoMA East Midlands Ensemble.
The album 'Griff Said Ruff' released 31 December 2019.
